Cooper Early Education Center

Head Start Preschool

Head Start is a federally funded Center Based Preschool Program that provides comprehensive services including education, health, nutrition, social services, and parent involvement, to income eligible children ages 3-5 and their families.

Applications are accepted throughout the year. New students may begin anytime during the year when openings occur. Each child is assigned points according to the Eligibility Priority Grid. If the center is full, children will be placed on the wait-list until an opening occurs. A letter of acceptance will be mailed to the families.

Head Start services families regardless of race, creed, or special challenges. Children must be three years of age on or before August 31st and meet the income guidelines.

Head Start is an advocate for children and families in the community, working in partnership to meet the goals of the family.  Pick up an application at the Cooper Early Education Center, 816 Oak St, Newton KS   67114.
